Half way through!

On this rainy Sunday morning I finished stitching the center piece of the Cheryl's Bouquet. Now that I'm half way through I'm very excited to stitch the second half and finished it up. But that will take another 18 weeks. I would love to finish it up faster but that would be against the SAL rules. So I practice myself in patience and stitch on some other projects instead.

cute little blue bird

This little bird is so cute. I just love it. The patterns is from a French homepage called ABC Broderie and is available as a freebie. Check it out! They have many more beautiful designs there.
I stared stitching this one already beginning of this year, but for some reason it ended up under a big pile of other stitching projects in my "in progress basket" and I forgot that I still have to finish it. Maybe because I am stitching it on 22ct. Aida and that is sooooo small. While cleaning out my basket a couple of days ago, it fell back into my hands and I decided to finish it right away.

Mushrooms

In Finland autumn is almost over and winter approching soon. We are enjoying our last nice days of "ruska" and it's richness of nature. One of those days we went on a nice long walk in the forest of Espoo and I couldn't resist taking pictures of all the mushrooms growing so plenty along the path. I nearly do not know anything about mushrooms. I bet I'm one of those people that are poisoning themselves . But I thought there are lovely to look at, so I took some pictures.

SAL stitching

Here is an update on one of the SALs I'm stitching in the Yahoo Group Marquoir. I have been asked lately what I am going to do with the finished piece and it made me thinking. I came to the conclusion either to attache some nice fabric on the outsides and make a table cloth for my coffee table or work it as a pillow, though I have already tons of pillows. I'm not quite sure about it yet, but I still have some time to thing about it. The SAL is only half way finished yet.
If one of you have a good idea, feel free to comment me and make a suggestion.

For Mel

This is a picture of a second Project I stitched in the group Stickfreunde. It is going to be a picture for Mel including her and her husbands name and the wedding date.

The salmon colored flower on the left side, the ribbons and the leaf are from me. I also worked a bit on the background shadows.

PPP's for Petra

A little while ago, I received an invitation to the Yahoo-Cross Stitch Group "Stickfreunde" to join a SAL. Of course I joined right away.
In this group are also a couple of Round Robins going on and because of never stitching one, I tried it out.

These are all different P-letters I stitched for Petra
