Doing the Happy Dance

Yes, I did it! I finished the Hungarian Sampler SAL within the year 2008. When still stitching the 5 part during last month, I didn't believe that I can make it. But I put almost all my other cross stitch projects aside and just focused and this one. And I have to say, it was worth it. I am so happy that it is finally finished. I can't wait to go and get a nice frame for it and hang it up on my living room wall.

Cheryl's Bouquet 27

Here is a little update on one of the SAL projects I am stitching in a yahoo group. It was already the 27th part of Cheryl's Bouquet. I am a little bit behind the rest of the group due to the holidays, but I am almost 2 more weeks on vacation. I have no doubt to catch it up. And now there are only two more rows of small parts to go. I am so excited. Can't wait to see it all finished up.

Christmas in Oulu

My sweetheart and I spend the holidays with his family in Oulu. That is about 600 km north from were we live. It was quite cold and we had a lot of snow. It was also quite dark there. Around this time of the year the sun is coming up only for a couple of hours. I used the little sunlight we got and took a few pictures at the harbor.
We had a really good time in Oulu, with lots of good Christmas food and Finnish Sauna in the evening, but over all, I am very glad to be home in my own little castle again.

Hungarian Sampler part 6

Juhuu! Now there is only one more part to go and my Hungarian Sampler is finished. I made it my big goal to finish the last part by the end of this year. I can't wait to watch it hanging on my living room wall.

I am so happy I could do the Happy Dance!
I finally finished up the Christmas table cloth I was stitching during Autumn. It is going to be a Christmas present for my sweethearts mom and got ready right on time.
I had a few difficulties sewing the whole thing together, due to I have never ever sewn a table cloth in my life before. Not all of the lines are exactly straight, but I am quite happy with the result.
Now I am just hoping that the lucky receiver likes it as well.

Hungarian Sampler

Finally I finished the 5th part of my Hungarian Sampler. It took me forever to stitch this part. I had to frog quite some times until it fit together. Now I can't wait to start the next part.
