Cheryl's Bouquet

The 6th part of Cheryl's Bouquet SAL arrived today a bit earlier than usual. I took my change and stitched it right away. But now I have to wait again until I can continue.

New Stash!

While being on a short holiday trip to visit friends and family in Germany and the Netherlands, I also took a day do visit my dutch aunt. She is at least as crazy about cross stitching as I am, if not even more crazy. As always as I am going to her place, I'm stacking up on cross stitch supplies. Especially this time I made a great deal. I got tons of stuff.
While getting already a bad conscience because of taking so many things, my aunt was disappointed of me not taking more.
I guess, soon I have to go back with a bigger suitcase :D

Lot's of cross stitch kids and fabrics in any possible color....

... and I also got this bag full of threads. They once belonged to an elderly lady, who gave this bag to my aunt. Most of the colors are DMC, but there are also some other brands. Not all of the colors are marked with a number, so it will take some time to go through all of this and figure out what I actually have in my stash now.

Borduurblog Challenge

Miriam from the site Borduurblog set up a challenge to stitch one of her Freebies. The winner will get a gift with stitching goodies. The challenge will run until 1st August and this is my entry.

I stitched her Cross Stitch Butterfly pattern and mounded it in a greeting card.

Butterflies are my favorites and this one I stitched in my two favorite colors purple (DMC 3834) and green (DMC 3819)

Totales Mysterie part 9

Round 9 of my Mysterie Sampler is ready. There is still a lot more to stitch, but you can get already a slight idea of the pattern.
I like it more and more with every little field I'm stitching

Cheryl's Bouquet

The 9th part of my Cheryl's Bouquet SAL is ready. I added 2 more colors. DMC 315 for purple and DMC 642 for gray. I think for now I will stuck with these 9 colors I'm using so far and don't add anymore. But of course, I might change my mind in the future. Who knows?

Des maisons de campagne

I started yesterday to stitch the SAL des maisons de campagne from Maryse. The SAL actually happened already during 2007 but I didn't discover the patterns not before yesterday.
Every little square is showing a house matching the themes of a month. Altogether there are 12 squares.
In the original patterns the month names are written in French, but due to living in Finland I changed the month to Finnish writing.

Cheryl's Bouquet 7 & 8

Here are the finished parts 7 and 8 of my Cheryl's Bouquet Sal. So far this is my favorite SAL to stitch. I just love the colors.

Totales Mysterie Part 8

The 8th part of my Mysterie Sampler is ready and I still don't know how it will look like at the end. I can just guess.

Heart

I finished again a heart for my Hearts & Squares SAL. Now I have only one more square to go and the first pillow cover will be ready to sew.
I like those pattern so much, and there are so many more different ones, I might stitch another 16 ornaments for a second pillow cover in gray.

Quilts 4 Kids

This is a square that I stitched again for the Australian Charity organization Quilts 4 Kids. It took me only 2 days to finish this project, but I stitched both days from breakfast to sleepy time on it. I hope that the little boy who will receive the Quilts including my square likes it.

Simply beautiful!

I made this card for a good friend of mine. She is invited to a wedding next week and asked me if I could make a little gift for the bride and the groom. I just love the simplicity of this design. The pattern is from Kissycross and can be found on her homepage.

Cheryl's Bouquet 5 & 6

I received today the parts 5 and 6 of the Cheryl's Bouquet SAL that I'm stitching in my Yahoo Group Marquoir. I started stitching right in the morning before going to work and continued right after coming home from work. This pattern is truly beautiful. Now I have to wait until next Wednesday to stitch the next part. That's not fair :(

Snow Leopard

After quite a long pause I stitched a small part of the Snow Leopard Design. I added a little bit on the bottom of the Design.
