I did it!

I finally mounded all the little cross stitch projects I made throughout the year to greeting cards. It comes to a total of 28 cards.

Here are also some closeups

Herze & Quadrate SAL

I finally finished the 7th square of my SAL. It took me almost forever to finish this one. More than a month.
Now I have 1 more heart and 1 more square to stitch and this project will be finished.

Hopefully I get it done before the end of summer.

Cheryl's Bouquet 3 & 4

Today I received the next 2 part of the Sampler Cheryl's Bouquet and I added two more colors. DMC 924 for blue and 936 for the darker green.
Now I have to wait until next Wednesday to receive the next parts, but I don't want to wait so long. I love this Sampler so much, I want to stitch more.

Hungarian Sampler Part 1

I started to stitch the Hungarian Sampler about a week ago. The first part is finished and I'm very happy how it turned out. I'm using the DMC colors 898, 976, 732 and 3865 and I'm stitching on a two colored melange linen fabric.s

Cheryl's Bouquet 1 & 2

Yesterday I stared stitching the first pattern of a new SAL.
I had a really hard time deciding what kind of fabric goes with what color. So I spread out all the options on my couch and started from there. Unfortunately there where way to many nice option and I still couldn't decide. Now I'm stitching the design in multicolor. I'm trying to assemble colors with an antique looking touch. So far I am stitching with 5 different ones, but there are some more to come.
The design is called Cheryl's Bouquet and has been designed by Marc Davis. We are stitching this pattern in my Yahoo Group Marquoir as a SAL with the permission of the Designer. But for those of you, who would like to stitch it at once, the pattern is available on Marc's homepage Needlemania

My favorite spot to do stitching: Keravan Joki!

Do you also have a favorite spot, where you like to sit and stitch? I have one! Mine is at Keravan Joki in Vantaa, just about 30 min. walking away from my flat.

Usually I go there together with my sweetheart on the weekends, when we both don't have to work. While he is enjoying the silence and fishing.....

... guess what! I am doing cross stitching...

... or we are taking silly pictures of everything growing along the path...

... like dandelion

I just love the zoom on my camera

Finally finished!

It took me almost 2 month to stitch this elephant. The Square is going to be send to Quilts 4 Kids in Australia. They are making with lots of other squares a nice Quilt out of it and give it to a child as a gift.

Tantes Zolder

Last night I had two premieres at ones. I stitched for the very first time with Color Variation floss and I stitched my very first piece of a Tantes Zolder Design. I picked a little pattern to try it out, but I can promise there are lots more to come. This is truly one of my favorite Cross Stitch pages.

Santa's Head

I finished yesterday the pattern of the little Santa's Head and it turned out so nice. It's a real jolly one.
