I got a package! - Mein Packet ist angekommen

Finally my needlework fabric order arrived yesterday. I bought it on ebay for an apple and an egg and I got tons of nice needlework fabrics. Some pieces are small, some are bigger. Now I have a reason to start some more new projects.

Gestern Nachmittag habe ich endlich mein Packet mit meinen Reststoffen, welche ich für einen Apfel und ein Ei bei Ebay ersteigert habe, abgeholt. Ein paar der Stücke sind recht klein, aber es sind auch größere dabei. Jetzt habe ich wenigsten wieder eine Grund neue Projekte zu starten.

Christmas stiching!

Alright! Not enough post for just one day? I have some more. I joined another Yahoo Cross Stitch Group and this one truly makes me feel like heaven. It is called Christmas Stitching Club and guess what: they just stitch Christmas pattern all year long. Of course I started right away to dig for my old Xmas pattern and started stitching this little Santa. It's almost ready, just the hat and some read berries are missing.

Alright! Sind das noch nicht genug Posts für einen Tag? Ok, ich habe noch mehr. Letzte Woche bin ich einer neuen Yahoo Kreuzstich Gruppe beigetreten. Als wenn ich noch nicht genug hätte. Der Name ist Christmas Stiching Club und ratet mal: da werden Weihnachtsmotive das ganze Jahr über gestickt. Klar das ich da gleich meine alten Weihnachtsmotive hervorgekramt habe und diesen kleinen Weihnachtsmann zu sticken begonnen habe. Er ist fast fertig. Es fehlen noch ein Stück vom Bart, die Mütze und ein paar rote Beeren.

More smalls

Here are some little ones I stitched in the meantime. I stitched the Noel on perforated paper. I'm not quite sure what to use it for, but I guess I will adjust it to a Christmas greeting card.

Hier sind einige Kleinigkeiten die ich zwischendurch gestickt habe. Den Noelschriftzug habe ich auf perforiertem Papier gestickt. Ich bin noch nicht ganz sicher, wofür ich es verwenden werde, aber wahrscheinlich werde ich es zu einer Weihnachtsgrusskarte weiterverarbeiten.



This card was more an experiment. I have a few of this cards with the little heart cutouts and wasn't sure what to use them for. I kind of like the way it turns out, but I'm not very happy with the color of the stitching. For the next time I will use a different color for the threats.

Diese Karte war mehr sowas wie ein Experiment. Ich habe ein paar von diesen Karten mit kleinen herzförmigen Passpartoutausschnitten und war mir nicht ganz sicher wofür ich die eigentlich verwenden soll. Ich mag die Art was daraus geworden ist, nur gefällt mir die Farbzusammenstellung gar nicht. Das nächste Mal werde ich Garn in einer anderen Farbe aussuchen um einen besseren Konstrast zu bilden.

Quilts 4 Kids

While surfing the net sometime during last year, I found this homepage of an Australian Charity organization called Quilts4Kids. In this group, they are stitching squares for children with live longing or live threatening illnesses. I was so impressed by the work of the ladies that I decided to join this group. I already stitched a couple of squares last year and started this year again stitching for this group.

This is a square I stitched for a little girl, who requested Beatrix Potter designs. It is already on its way to Australia.


And this square is still in progress. I'm stitching it for a boy, requested animal pattern. It will be an elephant, when it is done. But I'm having quite a hart time stitching it, because it has so many fractional stitches.


Als ich irgentwann im letzen Jahr durch's Internet gesurft bin, bin ich auf eine australische Chariyorganisation gestossen mit dem Namen Quilts4Kids. In dieses Gruppe werden Quadrate für Kinder mit langwierigen oder lebensgefährlichen Krankheiten gestickt. Ich war so sehr von der Arbeit der Damen in dieser Gruppe beeindruckt, das ich mich kurzerhand dort angemeldet habe. Ich habe schon letztes Jahr einige Quadrate gestickt und nun nach längerer Pause wieder angefangen für diese Gruppe zu sticken.

Den Bunny habe ich für ein kleines Mädchen gestickt, welches sich Beatix Potter Designs gewünscht hat.

Im Moment sticke ich noch an einem zweiten Quadrat für einen Jungen, der sich Tiermotive gewünscht hat. Es soll ein Elefant werden, allerdings habe ich schwer daran zu knabbern, da das Bild jede Menge halbe Stiche hat und die mag ich ja gar nicht.

Herze & Quadrate SAL

I stitched quite a lot on my Hearts & Squares SAL in the Yahoo Group "Stickschnecken". Altogether 4 pieces. Now I have only 3 more to stitch until it is completed.

Ich bin ein ganzen Stück an meinem Herze & Quadrate SAL von der Yahoo Gruppe "Stickschnecken" weitergekommen. Insgesamt habe ich 4 Motive geschafft. Jetzt fehlen nur noch 3 bis dieses Projekt beendet ist.

Totales Mysterie Part 5

I just realized that I haven't updated my blog for more than a month. But that doesn't mean that I haven't stitched. I guess I was just to lazy to blog something.

Ich habe gerade realisiert das ich meinen Blog seit mehr als einem Monat nicht aktuellisiert habe. Aber das heisst nicht das ich in der Zwischenzeit nichts gestickt habe. Ich war wohl einfach zu bequem zum bloggen.
Das hier habe gerade eben beendet. Es ist bereits der 5 Teil des Mysterie Samplers, den ich in der Yahoo Gruppe "Marquoir" sticke.
